Obituaries    Cora Boone
Ms. Cora Hilliard Boone, 90, of Denton passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2017 at Thomasville Medical Center.
The family received friends on Saturday from 12:45 to 1:45 pm at Briggs Funeral Home. The funeral service followed at 2:00 pm at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Charles Moses and Rev. Wayne Lang presiding. Interment followed at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.
Ms. Boone was born October 4, 1927 in Stanly County to June Hilliard and Minnie Doby Hilliard. Cora retired from Burlington Industries and was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Boone; brothers, Ernest Hilliard and Robert Doby; and sister, Myrtle Lang.
She is survived by daughter, Angie Grubb and husband Dale of Denton; son, Joseph Boone, Jr. of Denton; 2 grandchildren.

Larry Campbell
Mr. Larry Wayne Campbell, 27, of Denton passed away December 22, 2017. Larry was born March 1, 1990 to Joseph Wayne Campbell and Glenna Diane Mabe Coe in Davidson County. Larry worked at Allred Metal Stamping. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, nephew and friend.
Surviving is his wife Trisha Cooke Campbell of the home; three children, Bentley Cooke, Luke Campbell, and Abigail Campbell; mother, Glenna Diane Coe and husband Tommy; father, Joseph Wayne Campbell and wife Diane; sister, Glenna Louise Coe and husband Tommy Jr.; mother and father in law, Patricia and Leonard Cooke.
He also leaves behind nephews, Davey Crowley, Thomas Crowley, and Matthew Coe as well as a multitude of friends and extended family members. A Celebration of Life was held on Wednesday December 27, 2017 at J C Green and Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville. Online condolences may be sent to the Campbell Family at .

Gloria Jean Hart
Gloria Jean Hart, 61, of Denton passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at Randolph Health. A native of New York, she was born February 17, 1956.
Mrs. Hart was self-employed in private home health care.
Those left to cherish her memory is her husband of 15 years, Thomas P. Hart; two sons, James Andrews of Denton and Paul Andrews of Springfield, VT; two sisters, Rita Daminon of Florida and Sylvia Barker of New York; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
No services are scheduled at this time.

Audrey Vanhoy
Ms. Audrey Dorene Gragg Vanhoy, 63, a resident of Grubb Drive, Denton passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Thomasville Medical Center.
 A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Dorene was born May 14, 1954 in Stanly County to Clifford L. Gragg and Dora Ellen Thompson Gragg. She was employed as a dietician with Mountain Vista Health Park and attended High Rock Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Vanhoy.
She is survived by her brother, Stephen Lee Gragg of Charlotte and sister, Deborah K. Hudson of Monroe.
Briggs Funeral Home is serving the Vanhoy Family.
